This is an exciting time to be part of Staten Island’s West Shore. The city’s Economic Development Corporation is transforming acres of property into a vibrant community hub, complete with two new retail centers, park space, housing and a much-needed, 10,000-square-foot neighborhood branch — our new Charleston Library. The New York Public Library is beginning to plan its programs and services for the new Charleston Library, to be located adjacent to the Bricktown Shopping Centre. Recently, the Library hosted a 'Community Conversation', where we received productive feedback.
