UHS Delaware Valley Hospital is proposing to expand the hospital and create a medical neighborhood to improve health outcomes, access to care, and the overall quality of life for the people in Delaware County. In the best possible circumstances, the goals of the expansion are to bring primary care, providers, specialty care, and inpatient and outpatient care all under one roof and allow UHS Delaware Valley Hospital to provide collaborative community space for agencies and for health and wellness activities. Other project goals include:
- constructing state-of-the-art patient rooms with full ensuite bathrooms while creating space for an additional four beds, increasing occupancy to 25;
- expanding outpatient Behavioral Health services;
- relocating the patient registration area to provide more privacy; and,
- expanding its current community pharmacy and add drive-thru service.
As part of the statutory requirements for expanding the hospital, DVH is required to engage an outside evaluator to conduct a Health Equity Impact Assessment (HEIA). The HEIA offers the opportunity for community members to provide feedback on how the project will affect medically underserved groups. Horn Research has been hired to complete the HEIA and we would like to get your thoughts and insights on the project. The survey will take less than 5 minutes to complete and unless you choose otherwise, all information you provide will be kept completely anonymous.
We appreciate your help with this important assessment.
