RCPS Masking Survey

We are gathering feedback from RCPS families and staff to present at the August 10th School Board meeting. Please take a moment to share your thoughts regarding masking in schools. At this time, masks are strongly encouraged for unvaccinated individuals while in the school building. By a federal order, masks are required on school buses. Please note, in accordance with the new guidelines, unvaccinated individuals will not be required to quarantine if in close contact (within 3-6 feet) with a COVID-positive individual if both individuals were masked at the time of contact .

To ensure the safety of our students, teachers, and staff, we will be using the data-driven, decision-making matrix used last year to respond to COVID cases in our community and schools. Therefore, our protocols are subject to change should local case numbers indicate a need for enhanced safety mitigation procedures.
