Introduction

Thank you for taking part in this online survey for early-stage colorectal cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. The results of this survey will be used as part of Colorectal Cancer Resource & Action Network (CCRAN), Canadian Cancer Survivor Network (CCSN), and GI Society's Patient Input Submission to Canada’s Drug Agency (CDA) expert review committee who assess cancer drugs and make recommendations to Canadian provinces and territories, with the exception of Quebec, to guide their cancer drug funding decisions. Your participation will help CDA and provincial/territorial governments understand the patient and caregiver perspective concerning colorectal cancer therapies. It will also be used to provide input in Quebec to L'Institut national d'excellence en santé et services sociaux (INESSS).

Two therapies are expected to undergo a funding review for the management of early-stage MSI-H colorectal cancer:

Dostarlimab as a monotherapy for the treatment of adult patients with mismatch repair deficient (dMMR)/microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H), Stage II/III, locally advanced rectal cancer.

Atezolizumab as a combination therapy with standard adjuvant chemotherapy for the treatment of patients with resected stage III mismatch repair deficient (dMMR)/ microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) colon cancer.

Your feedback is extremely important and may help to improve access to drug therapies for patients in Canada.

Survey Eligibility

Any adult patient and/or their caregiver who has been diagnosed with stage II or III colorectal cancer can complete this survey. Patients who later progressed to have metastatic disease are also encouraged to complete the survey.

The survey should take approximately 15-18 minutes to complete.

Please feel free to forward the link of this survey to other eligible colorectal cancer patients or caregivers. Patients and caregivers do not have to be Canadian residents to respond to this survey. We would appreciate input from as many early-stage colorectal cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers as possible. The greater the response, the stronger the patient voice will be for drug funding decisions made across Canada.

If you have any questions about this survey, please feel free to write to: cassandra.m@ccran.org, or call us at: 1833 79 CCRAN (22726) x1001
