Organizations/groups may apply to host up to three programs using this form.
Hosting means:
Coordinating a date and time of the workshop with the organization (sometime between Jan – June 2019)
Securing a space
Providing accommodations as needed (using the accommodations fund if needed!)
Getting people to attend – Civic Life will support you in turnout.
Filling out an evaluation of the event provided by Civic Life through email
The workshops through the CCD program are funded by Civic Life and being offered at no cost to hosts and participants!
Though your organization would be expected to cover any outside costs such as coffee, food, etc.
We anticipate having more interest than available programs, so a Civic Life staff will follow up with all applicants to determine if and how to move your application forward.
The objective of CCD is to foster the understanding of differing perspectives, generative public dialogue, and constructive conflict. Our primary audience for this training and dialogue are community volunteers and partners in the City of Portland networks, though there are also some opportunities for City staff and the general public to participate.
