We are currently testing 7 special buses on Adelaide Metro routes to learn more about:
  • How these new and emerging technologies perform;
  • How well they meet timetable requirements; and
  • Customer needs for any future bus fleet purchases.
The buses being tested are:
  1. Scania Euro IV (low emission diesel)
  2. Bustech XDi IV (low emission diesel)
  3. Volvo B8RLE (low emission diesel)
  4. Volvo B5RLE Hybrid (part electric and diesel)
  5. Mercedes OC500LE Euro IV (low emission diesel)
  6. WrightBus StreetLite MicroHybrid (diesel and generated internal electrics)
  7. Bustech ZDi Electric (battery power, no emissions)
