Welcome! Thank you very much for your interest in becoming a volunteer to our students in Female Strong programs 2020-2021. We are grateful for your enthusiasm and desire to help our students on their journeys to create and launch their businesses. Your role as a volunteer is an important part of our students' success in building their business plans and in gaining confidence to take action and move forward on their plans. In some cases, you may be working one-on-one with the students.
At Female Strong, our primary responsibility and goal is bringing together a great team to best support our students. One aspect of that is the safety of our students. This application is designed to collect information about you so that we can know more about you and all that you offer. With regard to student safety, we conduct an extended screening of all of the mentors and volunteers who work closely with our students. Those individuals who are going to be YEA! mentors are required to undergo Mentor Training.
We ask for your personal information in the application so that we have a more complete picture of who you are and what you may bring to the program. Female Strong is committed to bringing the best volunteers to our program to ensure the quality of our program. We provide equal opportunity to all applicants, and we reserve the right to determine who is the best fit for our volunteer team. If you are selected to be a mentor, this application is also designed to gauge your match with a potential mentee.
