WPFW Location Survey

The WPFW Relocation Committee is in the process of reenvisioning what studio space for a progressive, community-based and community-supported radio station should be in the coming decade or more. We wish to ensure that a new, more permanent home will meet current needs and those less foreseeable in the future. In that regard, we are asking all WPFW stakeholders (listeners, donors, programmers, staff, community activists, etc.) to share your thoughts and insights by taking the short survey by clicking on the link below. Be creative! Thank you for your thoughts and time.
.Please identify your relationship to WPFW (check all that apply):
.If a desirable building is larger than our needs, do you support us leasing or subleasing space to likeminded, socially responsible entities
.As many of you might know, most Public Affairs programs and some Music programs have been produced remotely, please share your thoughts regarding content and technical qualities.
.WPFW’s Live at 5 program was suspended because of Covid. If a similar program of live music were to return, please share your thoughts regarding these events
.Likewise, in person meetings of the LSB, its committees, and other events were suspended because of Covid. Please share your thoughts
.We have discussed having podcast production studios. Please share your thoughts.
.WPFW’s news department has shrunk due to attrition, and there is no longer a dedicated newsroom in the studios. Please share your thoughts.
.WPFW has traditionally had a mix of private, shared, and open offices. What offices do you believe are necessary and should they be private, shared, or in an open space.
.Using phone bank volunteers during fund drives saves the station money compared to an answering service. In new studios, how should they be accommodated?
.Perhaps most importantly, what have we forgotten to ask you? What might the future of community radio look like that we haven’t considered and what physical space is needed at the studios to accommodate your ideas? Send us an email with your thoughts: membership@wpfw.org
