This is an opportunity to comment on the draft LCAP.  This survey for public comment will close on Wednesday, June 16th.

Background: Parents, community members, and staff provided input on the 2021-2024 DRAFT LCAP for the 2021-22 school year through a district-wide survey.  An overview of the LCAP was also presented to the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) and District Advisory Committee (DAC), and to the school board during the May 11, 2021 Board Study Session.  The DRAFT plan will be posted here for public comment from May 16th through June 16th.  The superintendent is required to provide comment to any questions that are posed by the DAC and DELAC.  The 2021-22 Goals, Actions and Metrics will guide and focus all staff on improving student achievement for our high need students.  There is strong alignment between the LCAP and the district's Vision 2035 and 2021-25 strategic plan that is under development.

While the Vision 2035 and the Strategic Plan articulate the overarching vision, goals, and actions for the district as a whole, the LCAP is a focused look at what we will provide over and above our core program to students whose needs go beyond the core. The LCAP itself is a lengthy document with 3 years of information and an annual update included. If you are interested in focusing on the proposed goals and actions for the upcoming year, the proposed 2021-22 Goals, Actions and Metrics document will provide that. Attached is also a glossary of terms.

There will be an additional opportunity for public comment. A public meeting will be held at the June 10th virtual school board meeting.

The final draft of the LCAP will go to the Board of Trustees for approval at the subsequent board meeting on Thursday, June 24th.
