This award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to eliminating racism in Southeast Wisconsin through their volunteer or paid work. advocacy, and leadership.

Restrictions: No group or self-nominations

The selection committee will review candidates on the following criteria:

a. How the candidate advances knowledge, perspective and awareness of the impact of race and racism in a variety of ways.
b. How the candidate advocates publicly and in personal circles supporting an understanding of racial justice issues/concerns (in the community, work or personal settings).
c. How the candidate works to eliminate discriminatory institutional barriers to people of color's contribution to the workplace and/or community. 
d. How  the candidate invests time, talent, and treasure in building a world of racial justice & equity.
