Biblical Engagement Question Title * Biblical engagement #1 The Bible is just a bunch of myths. I'm not sure what is true in the Bible and what isn't, but I believe in Jesus. I know the Bible is important and true, but my primary study of God's Word is through what the preacher says. The Bible is God's infallible Word and the foundation of my understanding of Him and how to live but when things are unclear or confusing I don't know what else to do. Question Title * Biblical engagement #2 My feelings and desires are more important than what the Bible says. When my feelings conflict with what I read in the Bible I most often ignore what I read. As I read God's Word I rarely seek ways to apply it to my life, as it is often difficult to understand and apply. Obedience to God's Word supersede any of my thoughts or emotions. I rarely, if ever read the Bible. I study God's Word and spend time in prayer but it's infrequent. I spend regular time in God's Word, asking what this means for my life. I spend regular, devotional, reflective time in God's Word and have a solid understanding of it. Question Title * Biblical engagement #4 The Bible is of no interest to me. I'm interested in the Bible, and believe in Jesus, but don't know much beyond that. I'm just learning about the Bible, but wouldn't feel comfortable helping others learn about it. If given the opportunity to help someone understand the Bible I could do it. I am currently (or seek opportunities) to teach others about the Bible. Question Title * Biblical engagement #6 The Bible is not God's Word. I would say my understanding and engagement of the Bible is very little. My understanding of the Bible come primarily from listening to sermons. Sermons help my understanding of the Bible, but it is supplimental to my regular reading and studying God's Word.
