Bourn Parish council are in the process of developing either a Community Plan, or a Neighbourhood Plan, to set out a shared vision for the parish and reflect the community’s priorities for the future.
In both cases it’s important to ask residents about their experiences of living in Bourn and what improvements they would like to see in terms of appearance, community facilities, housing and quality of life.
The decision to proceed with either a Neighbourhood Plan, or a Community Plan, will depend on the re-introduction of a funding to help the PC develop a full Neighbourhood Plan, which is a legal document that can affect local planning decisions. If that funding doesn't come forward then the parish Council will proceed with a Community Plan which is a comprehensive vision for our area, that addresses issues of interest to the community.
