Systems-Based Practice Checklist

Systems based practice (SBP) and Practice Based Learning and Improvement (PBLI) are 2 of the 6 core competencies.  There is some overlap between the two but we hope to show you that you are continuously growing in these areas.

Systems based practice (SBP): Key word is system and how we can improve patient care.  It is defined by how we manage patients and conditions in a complex health care system. Being knowledgeable and skilled in these areas makes and intelligent physician an effective one.

While systems based practice is an integrated component of your ongoing patient care, our goal is for you to learn skills in SBP more explicitly.

Please review this list of SBP-related curricular elements and indicate which you participated in. Please answer for the 2015-2016 academic year only.
