Savannah Downtown Neighborhood Association 2022 Grant Application

APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

Successful applications will present proposals relevant to one of the following:
(Each applicant must identify one of these categories as the primary basis for its proposal.)

• Beautification / Improvements in the Downtown Area
• Arts and Cultural Life

• Youth Development
• Humanitarian Causes

The application consists of an online written description of the project intended for funding. The following points should be addressed:

• Timeline of project: Is this a new or continuing activity?
• How much is requested and how will funds be used? Be specific.
• How will this project impact the greater downtown area?
• List of any other grants received by the organization in 2018 and 2019, and the objectives achieved.
• Submitted by President/CEO/Director for organization.

* 12. As you know, the Downtown Neighborhood Association is an all volunteer run organization. Funds for community grants are made possible through our signature annual fundraising event, The Holiday Tour of Homes. Hosting an event of this size is an enormous undertaking and volunteer participation is imperative to our success.

Our next Holiday Tour of Homes will take place on Saturday, December 10, 2022. We hope you would consider helping with this worthy endeavor. Please indicate below how you or your organization would assist our volunteer efforts related to the Holiday Tour of Homes. Select all that apply.

STREET GUIDE SHIFT (December 10, 2022)

DISTRIBUTION OF MARKETING MATERIAL TO SAVANNAH AREA BUSINESSES (October/November)

SELLING GUIDEBOOK ADVERTISING (Volunteers needed mid-summer through October)

VOLUNTEER RECRUITER (Assist Tour Committee with procuring volunteers from your board or membership to be docents in tour homes or street guides).

TOUR HOME PROCUREMENT (January - August 2022)

Applications will be reviewed by the Downtown Neighborhood Association's Board of Directors.

Grants will be awarded to selected recipients in April.

All Applicants will be notified of their grant status via email by Friday, April 8, 2022.
