The parade committee reserves the right to include only appropriate groups.  No groups with an overtly political or sexual theme will be approved.

•Make yourselves known! Please carry banners or signs identifying your group.  The crowd loves floats.
•For the safety of our children, please do not throw or hand out candy or other items!
•Alcohol is not permitted in the parade or staging area.
•Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
•All vehicles and floats must conform to standard motor vehicle safety regulations.
•No dangerous acrobatic stunts or  political campaigning  of any kind.
•Parade groups with animals of any kind must  provide people to perform immediate “pooper scooper” duties.  This is to be fair to the groups following you.
•Entries may not stop the parade to perform.

To ensure safety and order, please respect and follow the guidance of the Parade Safety Crew.
•Parade start time 1PM

Parade Entrance:

All entries with vehicles and  floats must enter the parade route on Cumberland Ave by Georgia Pacific.

•IMPORTANT: Please designate a “Group Leader” to represent your group and sign in at the registration tent near Wilcox Dock area. It is important for us to know that you have arrived, especially since last-minute changes in the line-up are often necessary.  *** Please note if your group is walking to the parade line up area there will also be a sign in table in front of the Elks Lodge***



* 6. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I, the undersigned, on behalf of, the owners, parade participants and myself involved in our parade entry, hereby waive any and all claims against the City of Plattsburgh, Battle of Commemoration Committee, their employees, members and volunteers, arising out of our participation in the parade. I (we) further agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless all such persons and entities from any claims.
