A graduate of Mississippi University for Women, Leslie is a Certified Diabetes Educator and, in 2016, earned the National Committee for Quality Assurance Diabetes Quality Award.  
Target Audience:
This activity is intended for internal medicine, family medicine and primary care physicians and advance practice clinicians.

Learner outcome(s):

Self-report knowledge gain related to guideline recommendations / standards of care for the recognition, diagnosis, treatment and pharmacologic management of patients presenting to the primary care setting during various stages of life.

Self-report knowledge gain of important pathophysiology concepts common to the care of patients using pharmaceuticals, describe the pharmacology of common medications, select the proper pharmacotherapeutics based on clinical presentation and incorporate evidence-based changes into practice.

This activity consists of an educational component (slides, audio lecture) in an electronic format, followed by an online post-test and participant self-reflection / declaration of learning.  Estimated time to complete this activity, including review of materials is 45 minutes.

2.   View video. Estimated time = 30 minutes
3.   View support materials if applicable.  Estimated time = 00 mins
4.   Complete evaluation and learner assessment tool.  Estimated time = 15 mins
