The Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association (DMNA) will hold its Annual Meeting on Monday, October 27 at 6 p.m. During this meeting, elections to the DMNA Board of Directors will also take place.

You must live, work, or own property in either the Downtown East or Downtown West neighborhoods to be eligible for a seat on the board.

This year, five board seats are up for election:
  • Three seats with a three-year term
  • Two seats with a two-year term

Board members typically invest about 4-8 hours a month in DMNA meetings and activities, which include:
  • Monthly board meetings (1.5-2 hours).
  • Participation in at least one committee (Civic Engagement, Safety & Security, Land Use), which also meet monthly (1.5-2 hours).
  • Active engagement in community events throughout the year, including DMNA'S National Night Out celebration held on the first Tuesday in August. Board members contribute to planning, fundraising, and on-site volunteering to help make this important community event a success. (Hours vary).
