DMNA Volunteer of the Year
Overview:
The DMNA Volunteer Award is the highest honor offered by DMNA. It began to honor an individual who has advanced the mission of the DMNA to promote the common good and general welfare of the residents, businesses and employees of Downtown Minneapolis.
Qualification to Receive the Award:
Any individual who lives, works, or owns property in Downtown East or Downtown West that advances the mission of the DMNA through their volunteerism or advocacy is eligible. Generally, current board members and current employees are not eligible. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the staff and board of directors.
Who may nominate someone for the Award?
Any DMNA volunteer, employee, board member or constituent who lives, works, or owns property in Downtown East or Downtown West may nominate someone for the award.
Who choses the recipient?
Recipients are chosen by a small group comprised of the DMNA board and committee leadership.
When are nominations accepted?
Nominations are accepted year-round. Candidates offered by September 30 each year are considered for the current year’s award (i.e., nominate someone by September 30, 2021, for the 2021 award).
How do I nominate someone for the Award?
Fill out the form. Candidates offered by September 30 each year will be considered for the current year. Nominations may be carried over multiple years if the selection committee considers the nominees to have merit.
