Housing is a major challenge for many regional communities, including Quairading.
Through extensive community consultation, improved housing options were identified as a key priority in the Shire's Council Plan 2026-2036.
To help plan for the future, the Shire is gathering information about local housing needs through a series of surveys. The results will help us better understand current and future demand for workforce accommodation, independent living options for older residents, and residential land development.
The information collected will be used to guide future housing projects and support funding applications to State and Federal Governments for housing and residential land development initiatives.
This survey focuses on workforce accommodation, current shortages and future needs, and is open to all businesses operating within the Shire of Quairading, including farming enterprises. To ensure the information collected is accurate and representative, we ask that only one response be submitted per business.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your feedback will help the Shire build a stronger case for future housing investment that supports local businesses and workforce needs.
If you have any questions about this or any of the housing surveys, please contact CEO Nic Warren on 0488 128 216 or at nic.warren@quairading.wa.gov.au. Submissions will close Sunday, 6 September 2026 at 11:59pm.
