Intimacy and Advanced or Metastatic Breast Cancer (ABC/MBC)
Introduction
This survey concerns advanced breast cancer (ABC), also known as metastatic breast cancer (MBC), and how it impacts both sexual and emotional intimacy. The purpose of the project is an effort to detail the problems that exist, learn solutions some individuals have found helpful, and explore lesser known challenges faced by ABC/MBC patients with extenuating circumstances (non-ABC/MBC-related physical disabilities, LGBTQ-specific issues, etc).
The survey is designed solely for use by persons diagnosed with advanced and metastatic breast cancer (ABC/MBC). It is entirely anonymous.
The results will be discussed at the Advanced Breast Cancer Consensus Conference 4 (ABC4) in Lisbon, Portugal on 2-4 November 2017. Patients from all over the world will be in attendance. Please note that "MBC" has been consistently used in this survey to identify breast cancer that has metastasized.
