Dear Participants,
My name is Christina M. Stewart and I am currently an undergraduate student at Towson University. As part of my Honors Psychology Thesis I am conducting this study to gain insight into the perceptions and opinions of young adults. If you choose to participate, you will first be asked to read a short description of a person and answer questions about that individual. You will then be asked a series of questions about your attitudes toward certain social issues. It is anticipated that participation in this study will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
Your participation is entirely voluntary. You do not have to participate in this study. If you choose to participate, you may discontinue your participation at any time.
There are no negative consequences for choosing to participate or not to participate in this research study. There are no known personal risks associated with participation. Participants can be assured that the information supplied will be completely anonymous, that is, no one will be able to identify you by your responses. Completion of this survey signifies your voluntary consent to participate in this research and that you are at least 18 years of age. You can discontinue your participation in this study at any time simply by clicking "Exit Survey" in the upper right hand corner.
The Towson University Institutional Review Board has approved this study. While there are no direct benefits to you, we hope that the results of this study will reveal something about the way human beings function in everyday situations.
