We’re excited to invite alumni to share new work in an informal, supportive, and creative space. This is a chance to test out material—whether it’s new writing, a short performance, or a reading—in front of a friendly audience of fellow alumni and students.

Venue: Central SU Bar
Performance length: Maximum 5 minutes per piece
Capacity: Up to 12 performances for the evening

Please note: This is a low-tech event. An area will be set up in the SU Bar for performances, and house lights will remain the same for all pieces. There will be no additional tech, lighting, or sound support, so performances should be kept minimal in setup.

If you’d like to take part, please complete the form below. We welcome alumni from all disciplines and encourage a variety of performances, from new writing and spoken word to devised pieces.

Performance slots will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, provided they meet the outlined requirements.
By participating in Central’s Alumni Scratch Night, you confirm that:
(i) the material you will be presenting is your own work, or that you have obtained all necessary permissions and rights to perform it; and
(ii) Central is not liable for any copyright infringements, intellectual property disputes, or other legal issues arising from the content of your performance.
You are responsible for ensuring that your material is appropriate for a general audience. It must not contain content that is offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate. Central reserves the right to decline or remove performances that breach these terms or deemed unsuitable.
By submitting your expression of interest, you agree to these terms.
