As Postdocs and Academic Researchers, we are acutely aware of the difficult balance between our working life and our family life. COVID-19 has magnified this and put researchers in the challenging position of having to manage looking after dependents and household duties, while also furthering their academic careers. In preparation for upcoming contract negotiations, we are surveying our membership to better understand the need for, and the impact of a lack of adequate, paid family leave. We would be very grateful if you could take a moment to complete this survey. Your answers will remain confidential and will only be shared with our union’s working group.
