2024 Distinguished Guardian of the Faith Award!
The Distinguished Guardian of the Faith Award recognizes those individuals who love God and the Catholic Church. Awardees are members of the healing professions and their affiliates. They live out their faith and love of God in their personal and professional lives through service and commitment to the mission of Catholic Medical Association. Their dedication and servant leadership are indicative of a loving response to God's call to discipleship.
Eligibility:
Any active paid Catholic Medical Association member who provides evidence fulfilling the "Criteria for Eligibility for the Distinguished Guardian of the Faith Award" to the Executive Director shall be considered for the title of Distinguished Guardian of the Faith. The application shall be delivered no later than July 1 to the Executive Director, who, in turn, shall submit the candidate's name and dossier to the Awards Committee. A majority of votes shall be necessary for election as a Distinguished Guardian of the Faith. The Executive Director shall submit the vote to CMA's Board for final review, and the applicant ideally must be present for the conferring of the title at the Annual Educational Conference.
Candidates will be approved upon review of submitted applications by the Awards Committee. Notification will be sent to the approved candidates.

A candidate must meet these requirements:
1. Current and active Catholic Medical Association member for a minimum of five years.
2. Agree with, live, and practice, to the best of one’s ability, the teachings of the Catholic Church and the mission of Catholic Medical Association.

3. A nominee sponsor (the individual sponsoring the nominee) must be an active CMA member for a minimum of three (3) years.
