EMYG24 Access Games – Interest Form

Maccabi GB are delighted to be hosting the inaugural European Maccabi Youth Games, ‘EMYG24’, taking place in London from 30th July to 6th of August 2024. Young Jewish people from across Europe and the world will be participating in a week of sporting competition, London sightseeing, and learning about British Jewish history, culture, and tradition.

As part of these Games, we are going to be providing a sporting programme for youth with Special Educational Needs (SEN) - the EMYG24 Access Games. We are seeking a cohort of interested participants with mild to moderate special educational needs who would like to take part in this exciting programme. We are ideally seeking participants who are between the ages of 14-18, however, if interested participants fall outside of this age bracket, we will do our absolute best to accommodate. We also have volunteering opportunities available for those over the age of 18.

Participants will get to take part in a variety of sporting-based activities, and we hope will make lasting friendships and memories. If you are interested, please complete the following form, and return to charlotte@maccabigb.org

So we can deliver as positive an experience as possible to all participants involved, size of this cohort will be restricted, and we will recruit on a first come first served basis.

Funding has been secured successfully, covering the majority of the program's expenses. To secure and confirm your spot, a nominal fee of £20 is necessary. We will let you know when this is required, and this will be fully refunded within four weeks of the closing date of the Games. If, for any reason, you are unable to contribute the £20 or feel the costs to attend the event are beyond your means, please do not hesitate to contact Charlotte at Maccabi GB (charlotte@maccabigb.org). We understand that financial circumstances can vary, and we are committed to making arrangements to ensure every child and young person can join us for this exciting opportunity.

We ask you to complete the form by the 1st of April. All forms will be reviewed, and the Maccabi GB team will be in touch when we have further information. Completing the form does not guarantee participation and all applications are subject to approval by our Steering Committee.
