This survey, one of the initiatives promoted by the DFU Committee within EWMA, aims to collect information from those who take care of patients with diabetic foot across Europe. The goal is to better understand the current state of DF care on our continent and, ideally, to connect professionals into a multiprofessional network that may serve as a point of reference both for patients and other specialists. The initiative seeks to promote quality care and help implement evidence-based practices, in alignment with the IWGDF guidelines.
The survey, which explores the organizational and technical features of diabetic foot-related clinical practice, will remain active on this webpage and can be completed by either individual professionals or multidisciplinary teams, depending on the local structure. Our ambition is to gradually build a realistic map of diabetic foot care across Europe.
Following this survey, additional questionnaires will be released on the same platform, focusing more on clinical aspects of diabetic foot management. These future surveys will aim to better understand real-world implementation and support targeted actions to improve care.
We thank you sincerely for your participation in the survey, and we will thank you twice more if you spread the word about this initiative among your contacts. The broader the response, the stronger and more widespread the diabetic foot care network across Europe will become.
Best regards,
The EWMA DFU Committee

Practical Instructions
Please follow the guidance below when completing it:
For Individual Practitioners:
If you are a healthcare professional working independently — such as a general practitioner (GP), specialist, nurse, podologist, or podiatrist — please complete the survey individually, based on your own experience and practice.
For Multidisciplinary Teams or Centers:
If you work in a clinic or center where diabetic foot care is provided by a team of professionals, we ask that the survey be completed once on behalf of the team. In this case, responses should reflect the team’s collective procedures and practices.
Please avoid duplicate submissions from the same center unless individual professionals are working independently at different locations or within separate services.
