The Solano County Behavioral Health (SCBH) Diversity & Equity Committee is co-facilitated by the Ethnic Services Coordinator and a representative from a local Community Based Organization. The Committee is comprised of representatives from County Departments, Community Based Organizations, Peers, and various other Community Partners who work to ensure that community members have timely access to equitable and quality behavioral health care this responsive to their cultural and linguistic needs.

Committee members oversee the organizations self-assessment process, develop annual goals for the annual diversity and equity plan, formulate and monitor procedures that evaluate the implementation of the organizations plan in developing culturally responsive services and practices. It is important for committee members to reflect the diversity of those we serve in the community. To fulfill these goals, we need members who are able to dedicate time and efforts to this cause which includes attending bi-monthly meetings and/or sending a representative on their behalf when unable to attend, attending sub-committees as needed to work on specific projects, and/or other equity related activities.

If you are interested in joining this Committee please complete the participation commitment form on the next page. Also, please note that for individuals that are representing organizations we are asking that you review this form with your supervisor/manager in order to secure approval to participate in the committee meetings and other projects as needed.
