If after reviewing the academic records, it is found that the only thing preventing the petitioner from receiving a high school diploma was the passage of an exit exam (BSAP or HSAP) - the petitioner's name will be submitted by the Dorchester School District Two Board of Trustees to the South Carolina State Department of Education to receive a diploma. The South Carolina Department of Education has indicated that diploma requests in accordance with Act 155/207 may take three to four weeks to complete. The diplomas will be sent to the school district for distribution to the petitioners. Petitions will be notified via phone when diplomas have been received by the school district and are ready for pickup. A signature and date will be required from each petitioner indicating that they have received their diplomas in accordance with Act 155/207.
