Completing this survey will contribute to a qualitative research study about the gameplay experience in music-oriented videogames. This study is being conducted by Professor Kiri Miller, from the Department of Music at Brown University. You must be over 18 years of age to participate in this study. There are no known risks or costs to you for participating. The survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. The information collected may not benefit you directly, but will contribute to general knowledge about interactive digital media. This is not a marketing survey and is not affiliated with the makers of Dance Central or any other game.

This survey is anonymous unless you choose to provide your name (for citation purposes) or an email address (for voluntary follow-up correspondence). Your IP address will not be saved with the survey data. Unless you choose to provide identifying information, no one will be able to identify you or your answers, and no one will know whether or not you participated in the study. Should the data be published, no individual information will be disclosed unless you have requested otherwise in your response. The researchers will make every effort to protect the confidentiality of your response, which will be transmitted using SSL encryption and saved on password-protected servers. However, please note that the security of data collected and stored online cannot be guaranteed.
