Do you know what happens to stormwater (rainwater) when it leaves your property?  The Durham County Stormwater and Erosion Control Division is tasked with finding ways to manage the ongoing challenge of stormwater impacts to the unincorporated areas of the County.  We are also mandated to meet State requirements to reduce pollution in our rivers, lakes, and streams.

Starting in August, the County will pay for stormwater management measures and pollution reduction activities through a stormwater utility fee included on the tax bill.  Our stormwater utility is designed to be a fair and equitable way to fund the necessary stormwater improvements.  Please take a few minutes to complete this survey.  Your input and feedback are important to us.  Thank you!
