The DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence (DCCADV) is conducting a needs assessment to better understand the experiences of domestic violence survivors in Washington, DC, and identify ways systems can improve.
Your safety is important. If you are not in a safe or private place to complete this survey, you may want to return to it at another time. You can close this browser at any time.
For the purposes of this survey, domestic violence is defined as a pattern of control or abuse by an intimate partner (including dating or marriage), family member, caregiver, or roommate. Domestic violence can include physical, verbal, emotional, financial, sexual, spiritual abuse, and other forms of harm. For this survey, we are not referring to child abuse.
You do not need to share details about what happened to complete this survey. The questions focus on your experience of accessing support and services.
If you are currently experiencing domestic violence and would like support, you can contact the DC Victim Hotline at (844) 443-5732 (1-844-4HELPDC) or use their chat function at dcvictim.org. Both are available 24/7.
This survey will not ask for your name. At the end you may choose to enter your email address to receive more information, but that is not required. DCCADV will not publicly share any personally identifying information, such as your email address or individual demographic information.
By participating in this survey, you are eligible for a raffle to receive a $100 gift card. If you are interested, you may enter your information at the end of the survey.
This survey will be open through August 31, 2026. This survey will take roughly 20 minutes to complete.
