Dakota County is seeking community feedback to update its Park Ordinance (Ordinance 107), which governs how people can use our parks and facilities and make the parks, trails, and greenways welcoming and used by more people.

Why you? Engaging the public in this process is vital for ensuring that the Ordinance update will be relevant for park and greenway users (present and future), partners from community-based and governmental organizations, and the general public. After all, parks and greenways exist for public use and the way they are managed has an impact on the quality of life for everyone.

Why now? The current Ordinance was enacted over twenty years ago, and since this time many changes have occurred in technology and the way that visitors use County parks and greenways.
