tMHFA is an evidence-based program managed by the National Council for Behavioral Health. Trained personnel at schools and other organization use tMHFA to teach young people how to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health challenges in their friends and peers. Implementing tMHFA requires several commitments from sites before providing the curriculum to teens connected to their schools and organizations. The tMHFA Preparation and Learning Collaborative aims to increase capacity for schools and youth-serving organizations to participate in tMHFA training scheduled for June 21-June 23, 2022, and teach teens during Fall 2022.

Goals of the tMHFA Preparation and Learning Collaborative:
- Address barriers that potential sites may have in implementing tMHFA
- Offer technical support, strategic planning, and facilitate conversations with stakeholders for sites interested in implementing tMHFA
- Create readiness to apply for and participate in tMHFA Instructor Training scheduled for June 21-June 23, 2022.

Note: all tMHFA Preparation and Learning Collaborative activities will be virtual.

If your site is selected to participate in the tMHFA Preparation and Learning Collaborative, you will:
- Complete a Memorandum of Understanding
- Receive information about the timelines and various supports available through the learning collaborative
- Be offered different pathways to strategically plan for tMHFA implementation during Fall 2022 (i.e., timelines, supporting protocol development, task lists, etc.,).
- Receive assistance in completing the tMHFA application (required by the National Council) to participate in the tMHFA Instructor Training, scheduled for June 21-June 23, 2022.
