DCLS internships are project-oriented and designed to be mutually beneficial to the intern and the laboratory. The number of accepted applicants each year varies and is subject to the number of available projects and/or program areas with DCLS initiatives.

* 1. Applicants must be at least 18 years old

* 2. Internships take place in person, 40 hours/week Mon- Fri, at our laboratory at 600 N. 5th Street Richmond VA 23219

* 3. Applicants must be a Virginia resident or attending a Virginia College or University and either:
Be enrolled 2026 as a rising Junior, Senior, or Master’s degree candidate in a science, public health, or related program with relevant coursework at a 2 or 4 year College or University

* 4. Applicants must have maintained a cumulative minimum 3.0 GPA.

* 5. Applicants must be able to provide immunization records, as requested, if applicable to the area of work.
