Youth and children’s animation preferences

1.Dear participant,

Thank you for your interest in this survey on youth and children's animation preferences. The study is conducted by the researchers of the Department of Communication, University of Vienna, as part of the ANIMA MUNDI project, which explores the discoverability of European animation. This survey is conducted among young people aged 12 and above across Europe to find out what kinds of animation they watch and like the most, and how they find and access them. Responses will be used as data in a research report submitted to the European Commission and in scholarly publications.

Participation in the survey is voluntary. You can refuse to participate at any time, without having to give a reason, or withdraw your agreement to participate once the study has already started. There will be no negative consequences for you if you refuse to participate or if you withdraw from this study.

The questionnaire takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. The survey data will be completely anonymised, and no one can be recognised from the data. Please do not insert on open fields any information from which you can be identified. The researchers will manage your responses carefully. Your answers are important for our research!

The study coordinator will be happy to answer any further questions about the study. Please contact Univ.-Prof. Katharine Sarikakis at katharine.sarikakis@univie.ac.at
