1. Committee Description & Eligibility Criteria

The Moderation Committee is comprised of a team of individuals (5-7), in conjunction with the Communications Steering Committee Chair, Colby Agostinelli, LMFT, CST, who collectively moderate the list and monitor the list for potential violations of these guidelines. This committee reports directly to the Communications Steering Committee Chair.  This committee makes the determinations of whether or not violations have occurred and how such instances can be handled fairly and equitably, in a way that promotes a positive, professional climate on the list.
 
Eligibility Criteria: 
  • Active AASECT Member 
  • Moderation Experience (preferred)
  • Representation from all certification types- Supervisor, Counselor, Therapist, Educator. Priority given to those with marginalized identities to best represent out community. 
  • Willingness to contribute 3 hrs/week to committee work
