Point Blue Conservation Science is developing a model to illustrate the potential impact of offshore wind energy development on marine life in the California Current. Please help us describe the vulnerability of animals to impacts from the installation, maintenance, and daily function of wind energy infrastructure.

If you received an email with a list of species/groups to evaluate, please prioritize those responses.  Otherwise, please select species/groups for which you have good knowledge.  Select one species/group at a time in the survey below.

There are multiple species-specific vulnerability types, and for each vulnerability type, there are six measures. Several questions reference generation time:  the mean age at which females produce offspring, weighted by the number of offspring produced at that age.  If you feel you do not have the expertise to rate a given measure, please respond "N/A."

The survey should take 5-15 minutes to complete.  If you need to pause, leave your browser page open.  Closing the page before completing the survey will delete all responses.

All questions except general notes are required. Feel free to add notes or comments after answering questions for each vulnerability type.  If you have questions or additional comments about the survey, please contact Cotton Rockwood.

At the end of the survey, if you want to answer questions for another species/group, click "Done" and the survey will restart.  Otherwise, close the browser window when the survey restarts.
