Training for Supervisors

The CBH Knowledge Center is excited to offer this training as an independent course. This training is primarily designed for current supervisors who have completed a Reflective Supervision (RS) training in the past. If you still need to take RS and would like to attend STS, we encourage you to apply for the combined training offered later this year.
Addressing Secondary Traumatic Stress in Supervision (STS) was developed in response to the burnout experience and the exodus of the behavioral health workforce during the pandemic but feedback from participants has confirmed that this content is still relevant and very much needed. There has been a spotlight on the pressing need to attend to the experience of secondary stress of practitioners within supervision.
The goals of the course are to:
· Increase supervisors’ skills to address their supervisees’ and their responses to secondary stress, with attention to the differential impact based on racial, ethnic, and cultural identities.
· Enable participating agencies to integrate trauma-informed care principles and practices to support staff well-being.
