2024 PFCA Conference Call for Presentations |
We are excited to announce our call for presentations for our first conference is open!
The conference will be held October 17th, 2024 at Desert Willow Conference Center.
All presentations will be 60 minutes. The presentation submission deadline is August 2, 2024
*Workshop Format*
To be considered, workshop presentations must:
- Align with our conference themes.
- Be interactive, thought-provoking, and action-oriented
- Allow time for group discussion
- Fit within a 60-minute timeframe, with 45 minutes for presenting and 15 minutes for audience Q&A
- Be conducted with no more than three presenters
- Be able to be delivered in person in at the conference.

*Presentation Topics of Interest*
We are looking for presentations related to the following topics:
· Motivational Leadership – supervision, coaching, mentoring, understanding the business of our work, and creating positive workplace cultures for lived experience professionals
· Ethics and Boundaries – navigating ethics, boundaries, and professionalism
· Innovations in Peer and Family Support - Exploring emerging trends, including digital mental health support, and new programs.
· Self Care – Preventing compassion fatigue, burn out and increasing work life balance
· Recovery and Resilience - Promoting the role of peer support, substance use and recovery, the power of lived experience, and storytelling.
· Health and Wellness – Integrating lived experience workforce with other professionals, social determinants of health, managing chronic health conditions, and increasing wellness of the workforce.
· Outcomes and Data – how to track and measure your success, understanding data, statewide/national data related to lived experience work
Please note: Workshop attendance can be anywhere from 10–40
people per session. PFCA will do its best to ensure each session is full but cannot guarantee a specific headcount.
By submitting a proposal for consideration, you agree that if selected, you will be available to speak at any time on October 17th, 2024

The process to accept workshops is very selective. There are a very limited number of slots available, and the final decision is at the discretion of PFCA.

Notification: All applicants will be notified about the status of their submission by September 18th, 2024.
Follow Up: If accepted, presenters will receive a free conference registration and are welcome to attend the entire conference, including meals and receptions on October 17th, 2024
