Application Timeline:
 
The Centurions Legacy Scholarship application is due Thursday, May 11, 2023. Applicants will be notified by May 19, 2023. The full Centurions application closes June 15, 2023. 
 
Legacy Scholarship Eligibility:
 
  • This scholarship was founded with the intention of dismantling structural racism by providing a Black, Indigenous, or Person of Color access and opportunity in the business community.
  • Work for an organization or company that is a Chamber member, or is willing to become a Chamber member as a part of the scholarship (membership fee included in award) The scholarship will cover KC Chamber membership dues, up to $700, for an employer that is not currently a chamber member for both years. Any amount over $700 will need to be paid by the scholarship recipient or their company, if applicable.  
  • Preferred: A demonstrated personal commitment to addressing disparities in a marginalized community
 
Being selected as the scholarship recipient doesn't guarantee acceptance into the Centurions Leadership Program. Scholarship recipients must also participate in the full Centurions selection process through completing the full Centurions application, as well as the selection interview. Scholarship applicants will be notified of their status by May 19, 2023.
