PEO Code of Ethics Review
Licence Holder Survey

Introduction:

Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is conducting a comprehensive review of the Code of Ethics. The goal is to move the Code from aspirational ideals toward clearly articulated ethical expectations that reflect contemporary engineering practice and PEO’s public-interest mandate.

The purpose of this survey is to gather input from licence holders on how the Code is currently understood and used, where greater clarity may be needed, and how the Code or supporting materials should address ethical issues that arise in modern engineering practice.

What We Need From You:

We are interested in your practical experience – including situations you have faced, language you have found unclear, areas where additional guidance may be useful, and obligations you believe should be reflected more clearly in the Code. You do not need to be familiar with the current Code in detail to participate.

Additional Information:
  • Responses are completely anonymous and will be used to inform our review of the Code of Ethics
  • The current Code of Ethics is included at the end of this survey for your reference
  • Estimated time to complete is approximately 10 minutes
  • All responses are optional
