2022 PHA Survey

The Housing Is Initiative, led by the Council of Large Public Housing Authorities (CLPHA), helps build a future where systems work together to improve life outcomes. 

Fragmented service delivery systems and siloed policymaking often fail to address the needs of low-income individuals and families holistically, resulting in stagnant outcomes and costly inefficiencies. CLPHA’s Housing Is Initiative is based on the premise that systems can better meet these needs and improve life outcomes when they work together.  

 

Over the last decade, our cross-sector work has shown that housing is a critical social determinant of health and well-being and that housing agencies often play a significant role in connecting their residents to health and education services and programming.  

 

To help document this work, this survey examines the health, education, and other related initiatives provided by housing authorities and cross-system partnerships between housing, education, health, and other community providers. This survey builds on one we conducted in 2017 and this survey’s results will provide an updated view of CLPHA member activities, how efforts have changed, and lessons we have learned since that report. In addition to using the results internally to improve our cross-sector efforts, we also intend to produce a public-facing report in the coming months. 

 

Please complete this survey even if your agency does not engage in the activities. A ‘no activities’ response is also helpful information. The results of the survey will be aggregated, and no single agency will be identified without their consent.
