The Kulungah-Myah Community Centre (“KMCC”) is planning ‘Building Digital Skills’ face-to-face workshops as part of the Australian Government’s ‘Be Connected’ initiative to improve digital literacy.

Digital literacy is recognised as an individual’s ability to use information and digital technologies to find, evaluate and communicate information. It is recognised as a specialised set of skills necessary to live, learn and work in a society where communication and access to information is shifting to an increasingly digital format.
Improved digital literacy has been associated with:
  •  increased feelings of confidence & connectedness
  •  increased independence
  •  increased critical thinking skills.

KMCC prides itself on being a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all individuals regardless of their background, age, gender, or additional needs.
  • All collected demographic information will be kept anonymous and only used to tailor the workshops to best fit the language requirements and needs of any attendants.
  • Participation in this survey is anonymous and entirely voluntary.  Participants are free to withdraw at any time for any reason without penalty.
  • All collected data will be stored secured for a maximum of 3 years and deleted once this time-frame has passed.

No risks have been identified with participation in this survey.
