Bad Bill Madness Semi-Finals!

Welcome to the third round of the 2018 Bad Bill Madness survey, brought to you by the Secular Coalition for America and American Atheists! We started with 16 of the worst state bills introduced in 2018 and pit them against one another in a tournament bracket. All of these bills are appalling, blatant violations of the separation of religion and government but only one can be the worst! Now we've reached the semi-finals and your vote will decide which two bills face-off for the infamous title of “Worst State Bill.”

Alabama's HB 258 - Would allow for the teaching of the Biblical theory of creation in public K-12 schools.

Colorado's HB 1206 - Would allow businesses, marriage officiators, and child placement agencies to discriminate on the basis of their "sincerely held religious beliefs"

New Hampshire's HB 1787 - Would allow health care providers and institutions to refuse to provide necessary medical care if the procedure or treatment conflicts with their religious beliefs.

Oklahoma's SB 1250 - Would allow individuals (including state employees) to discriminate based on their specifics religious beliefs about heterosexual marriage, sexual intercourse, and "immutable biological sex".
