Rendezvous Park (R Park) provides 40 acres of reclaimed public space designed to encourage all ages to engage with nature and inspire through open space interaction. As Teton County's first nonprofit park, we are a reflection of the community values of our supporters, users, residents, and visitors. The park remains open to the public from daylight to dark, 365 days a year.

Intended to be a vibrant community space, we are enthusiastic that you are interested in hosting a program at R Park. Did you know R Park has a conservation easement over the property? R Park's amenities, including its reclaimed ponds, meadows, knolls, and trails are protected forever through a Jackson Hole Land Trust easement. Conservation easements are legally binding documents that set development and use restrictions to protect land forever. This ensures that R Park is enjoyed by the public and is properly maintained.

How to Submit a Request
The following policies apply to every program use request received by R Park. Please read the following carefully. If your intended use is within the bounds of these policies, please complete and submit this request form at least 30 days before your program date(s). Upon review, the JHLT will either approve, deny or request amendments to your request. Completing this application does not automatically result in an approval of use. Use will be granted only upon written approval from the Jackson Hole Land Trust.
R Park Usage Policy

Partnerships are central to R Park’s mission. The following are expectations for this arrangement based on the conservation easement and management practices designed to best care for R Park. By applying to host a program or event at R Park, applicants represent that they are familiar with and agree to the following terms and policies:

1.      Applicant shall submit application at least 30 days prior to the proposed use.

2.     The JHLT will in no way assume liability for any accidents occurring at R Park during Applicant’s event. The Applicant and all of its invitees will use R Park and its amenities at one’s own risk. The JHLT will require Applicant to provide a certificate of insurance for organized events with any of the following: (a) 100 or more attendees, (b) a caterer, (c) added infrastructure (e.g. tents, stage, lighting), and/or (d) any activity that the JHLT may deem high-risk to the space or your event participants.

3.      Program approval does not guarantee exclusive use. R Park is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis, every day of the year from daylight to dark.

4.    All applications shall be either (a) for events and/or R Park-specific programming  that are free and open to the public OR (b) for use of the Park within the larger course of a nonprofit partner's programming.  If the application is in conjunction with a camp or course that requires participant payment, applicant shall demonstrate how they have addressed inclusivity and accessibility to their programming through their application/enrollment process. JHLT will prioritize applications that show a commitment to accessible and inclusive programming.

5.   Partner programming and events which utilize R Park shall be advertised on public forums and information about these opportunities shall be easily accessible to the public.

6.  The Applicant, whose signature is affixed to the attached Request Form, is solely responsible for their program and participants and ensuring that, during all its events, programs, or activities at R Park, R Park is treated respectfully and left in the same or better condition upon conclusion of the approved use. A refundable damage deposit of $300 may be held upon approval of the Request Form if the approved program requires a temporary structure or exceeds 100 people. R Park and JHLT reserve the right to recoup any costs resulting from impacts created by Applicant’s program.

7.      Applicant will follow all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  Applicant is solely responsible for obtaining and paying for any permits or licenses required by Teton County, including but not limited to food and beverage permits.

8.      All additional infrastructure and equipment planned for requested use must be noted in this application or approved in writing by JHLT at least 10 days prior to Applicant's use.  This includes, but is not limited to, stages, tents, portable toilets, food and beverage, catering support, amplified sound, garbage, and/or recycling bins. Off-road use of vehicles is prohibited.

9.     Applicant must furnish a schedule of events and explanation of planned activities and site plan to R Park upon request.
9.     Applicant shall not alter (or permit to be altered) the landscape of R Park.

10.   Commercial activity is prohibited at R Park. Please discuss specifics of proposed event/use with JHLT staff if further clarification is needed.

11.    All Applicants agree to include the JHLT in their messaging around their use of R Park as outlined in the JHLT Community Conservation Press Kit.

11.    Applicants will consider a donation to the Jackson Hole Land Trust for use of the R Park. Make a gift of any size online or send a check to Jackson Hole Land Trust, P.O. Box 2897, Jackson, WY 83001.
