The Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. is soliciting proposals for “Trending Now” topics to be offered at the RIMS 2019 Annual Conference and Exhibition in Boston, April 28-May 1. These one-hour programs will address a current topic that is timely, relevant and focuses on what’s happening in today’s risk professional world. Topics must address game-changing ideas that offer risk professionals a personal and educational experience. RIMS encourages a diverse range of presenters to enhance contributions to the risk management industry, and to facilitate and encourage open dialogue.

- Dynamics of the Changing Workforce
- D&I
- Opioids
- Climate Assessment
- Hardening Market 
- US Trade with China
- Other Trending Topics  

The submission deadline is Thursday, January 31. Kindly complete the requested information. Late and incomplete submissions will not be considered.

  • Format length of Trending Now topic is 60 minutes. 
  • The session must drive participation, discussion and engagement.
  • A maximum of three (3) speakers. One (1) speaker should be a risk manager. (A risk manager is responsible for assessing, minimizing and preventing accidental loss to a business through the use of insurance, claims management, litigation management, safety measures, etc.)
  • The risk manager should be qualified in the subject matter to share knowledge and experience.
