Cultural capacities for an Earth Crisis Response |
About this survey
You might work in the Culture sector (Arts, Design or Heritage), with an interest in how this sector can grow its capacities to respond to the Earth Crisis.
Or you might work or campaign in the Environmental sector, and want to contribute your views on the role of Culture.
The Earth Crisis is a term for Ecological Overshoot and Social Shortfall caused by the ramping up of extractive colonising systems.
I am Bridget McKenzie (founder of Flow Associates and Climate Museum UK) carrying out this research independently and without funding, to inform research I am sharing widely and with networks such as Culture Declares Emergency. The research focuses on the UK, but your international experiences are very welcome.
Responding to this very brief survey will help us all understand:
- What could be an effective response to the Earth Crisis from the Cultural sector?
- What training and resources would help grow capacities for an effective response?
- What initiatives are inspiring, that we can learn from?
