Overview
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement's (FDLE) Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Training Program will be hosting a free, two-day training July 20-21, 2026: Investigations Involving Cryptocurrency
This course is designed to provide law enforcement personnel with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to conduct end-to-end cryptocurrency investigations, from initial complaint intake through attribution and seizure strategy, with the goal of identifying suspects and recovering stolen funds for victims.

Course Highlights:
- Foundational overview of cryptocurrency and the blockchain
- Cryptocurrency fraud typologies (pig butchering, romance, investment, impersonation, tech support)
- Blockchain fundamentals and transaction analysis
- Identification of laundering patterns and cross-chain movement
- Subpoena return analysis and exchange attribution
- Familiarization of seizure-supported investigative narratives
- Capstone exercise simulating a real-world investigation
- This training combines lecture, live demonstrations, and hands-on practical exercises to ensure participants leave with actionable investigative skills.
