Sponsorship Details

The Erie Coalition for a Trauma Informed Community (ECTIC) is sponsoring several Erie County individuals to attend the 3rd National Creating Trauma-Sensitive Schools Conference in Atlanta, Georgia February 16th – 18th, 2020

This Conference brings together over 1,800 educators from across the country and around the world to learn more about the trauma-informed education movement and how to Create Trauma-Sensitive Schools. The Attachment & Trauma Network, Inc. (ATN) hosts this yearly conference to give all educators - teachers, administrators, and school personnel - as well as other child-serving professionals, community leaders, and parents an opportunity to explore the importance of trauma-informed care in schools and other child-serving environments. The conference also focuses on the importance of addressing the complexities of childhood trauma in schools.

Last year the Coalition sponsored five (5) individuals from Erie County to attend. The information and motivation that came from the conference ignited school districts from throughout Erie County to re-evaluate their interventions and professional development topics. This year we want to build off the great work that is being done in many of our local schools.

For 2020, ECTIC is sponsoring seven (7) individuals total, six (6) from school districts throughout Erie County. Sponsorship includes all conference registration, hotel lodging, and airfare fees. Sponsorship attendees are expected to participate in a pre-conference briefing, collaborative working dinner during the conference with all other Erie County attendees, and post-conference debriefing with an ECTIC representative. All interested school-related professionals (teachers, school resource officers, administrators, support staff, etc.) are invited to submit a Letter of Interest.

All submissions must be received NO LATER THAN December 6, 2019 at 5:00 pm.

What to expect after you submit a Letter of Interest for Sponsorship:

  • The ECTIC Executive Committee will review all Letters and score them accordingly
