Joe Creason Park: The Slab

Community Input Survey

Louisville Parks and Recreation, the Parks Alliance of Louisville, and Councilwoman Josie Raymond are seeking community feedback on potential park amenities for a concrete area in Joe Creason Park commonly known as “the Slab.” This underused space is a large, approximately 30,000-square-foot concrete area located near the center of the park. It is a remnant of a former maintenance facility—part of the historic Camp Taylor site from World War I—that was demolished several years ago after reaching the end of its useful life.
